Meet J.C. Brennan.
Tell us something about the woman, J.C. Brennan. Who are you?
Well, there's not much to tell. I was born in Flint, Michigan, and grew up in the small village of Skidway Lake. I am a mother of three and an academic scholar. I love to write novels and poems, but I am also a seamstress and a painter. These skills and scholastic achievements helped me to get out of the small town, though my heart remains there. I have won several awards for writing from such notable sources such as New Apple, Readers' Favorite, & Pinnacle Book Achievement. I currently reside in Arizona with my husband of nine years, my children, and grandchildren. I am hard at work with my next big series of novels.
And who's the writer? How was ETERNAL BLOODLINES conceived?
The writer part of me is my alter ego. It’s the part of me that can do anything, say anything, and be anything I dream up.
Why did you choose the Horror genre?
I grew up reading great authors such as Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelly, Stephen King, Jack Ketchum, Dean Koontz, and others. The words on their pages intrigued me, frightened me, and exhilarated me. But more importantly, their stories helped me escape to another life, and at that time I needed that escape.
Is there a book or author that inspired you to be a writer?
As I mentioned prior, I have read a lot of authors. However, Stephen King and Jack Ketchum are the two authors who made want to write.
What can readers expect when they read Eternal Bloodlines?
Readers can expect excitement, mystery, intense emotion and plenty of action. Amanda is a Character that any small town girl will be able to relate to and Vlad—well, everyone has heard of Vlad the Impaler.
When I decided to write a novel embarking on the vampire mythology, I knew from the first word I have to go about this differently, give an old story some spice so to speak. I choose to write about the man who inspired Bram Stoker to create a legend, a beast, and a creature of nightmares that quickens the heart and speeds the pulse –the vampire. So, who better to represent the most significant fear-evoking character in the world? Vlad Tepes.

What do you love about being an author?
What can, I say I love to live inside my head and bring my imagination to life in the pages of a book. Being an author is a fantastic adventure with every page you write.
